“Love, family, traditions, faith, memories, trusting God when there’s nothing else to cling to—these are the threads that hold us together…the true ingredients of a bountiful life.”

“Heirlooms” is a musical drama, with a touch of comedy, that will inspire, encourage, and get audiences in the spirit of Christmas! While contemplating how to spend their Christmas vacation, five unlikely friends team up to bring holiday cheer to poor widow Eleanor. However, while trying to bring good tidings, Eleanor invites these young adults to walk down memory lane through her most precious heirlooms. With each memory, the college students are individually challenged by the power of true love, sacrifice, and the value and importance of the true meaning of Christmas. This year discover exactly what it means to have the “Christmas Spirit,” not just during one holiday season; but always.

Triad Baptist Church • Kernersville, NC Friday-Sunday, December 4-6, 2015

By definition, an “heirloom” is a valuable object that is owned by a family for many years and passed from one generation to another. Over 2000 years ago God the Father gave mankind His “only begotten Son” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ was born in a stable; lived a perfect life; died a brutal death on the cross that we deserved - not to just pay for our sin but to become sin and bear God’s judgement for all sin, was buried, rose back to life three days later; and returned to God the Father where He is today. All of this so we could have an eternal home in heaven and enter back into a relationship with God the Father that had been broken because of man’s sin in the garden, which caused sin to be passed on to all men. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is an heirloom we don’t want to keep to ourselves, but share with the world. It’s the real story of Christmas.
