My childhood memories are all centered around being involved in church. My parents made sure we attended every service the church offered. I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 11 at First Baptist Church in Shelby, N.C. In February of 1984, I joined the staff of Triad Baptist Church as youth director and have been a part of the church ever since. My wife, Teresa, and I have always had a burden for the teens and a desire to see them grow into mature, spiritual young men and women. It was a natural progression when the church asked if I would consider assisting them in starting a Christian school here. The rest is history as God has so richly blessed Triad Baptist Christian Academy and Preschool. Teresa and I have two children, Brian, who is in full-time Christian service as youth and music pastor in Green Brier, Ark., and Kelli, who manages physical therapy clinics in Ocala, Fl. We also have two beautiful grandchildren, Brilyn and Brison, who live in Arkansas.
